Importance of Letters in Digital Age

"Life is bearable when you have someone to write, and someone who writes you back. Even if it's just one person."- Eunjin Jang

In a sea of uniform fonts and digital signatures, a handwritten letter stands out as a unique and personal gesture. It shows that the sender invested time and effort into crafting the message. Writing letters is an old form of communication.

Old letters carry the scent of people who sent them, to read them is a sensory and emotional experience. It hits us with the nostalgia of the past.

The simple act of putting pen to paper, and crafting words with care has decreased a lot,  a little time and love being poured into words is time-consuming and most of us accept it. Human connection nowadays is just a gadget.

In an age where digital communication dominates, letters can revitalize relationships by injecting a sense of thoughtfulness and effort. Letters capture more than just words or thoughts they capture our emotions. It feels more thoughtful and sincere as the writer takes time to carefully craft sentences and share their feelings. The deliberate process adds a sense of sincerity and personal touch.

Letters are kept forever and remembered whereas text messages get buried somewhere in our memory graveyard.

While writing letters we create an identity of our own, our writing is as unique as our DNA and fingertips. They evoke emotions and leave lasting impressions. Letters are really personal for people, it constantly reminds them of being loved and wanted.

Waiting for the postman to deliver letter has its own charm. Collecting stamps from all over the world and showing them off to everyone fills us with a sense of euphoria.

It also promotes postal activities and helps create employment.

Let us all vow to write letters to our loved ones at least once or twice a year to make them feel special and keep this old tradition alive.
