Religion: credence or delusive
Faith is not something to grasp, it is a state to grow into.” — Mahatma Gandhi.
Bharat lost half its strength after the India-Pakistan partition, though we are human beings united by a common will to live and immense faith in our credences. The differences are still visible.
Bhujakhia Pir , located in the Sunhat area of Balasore City, is a place where both Hindus and Muslims come together to worship Baba. This realm is home to people belonging to different religions having different beliefs.
On 18th June 2024 curfew was imposed in Balasore City which continued for almost a week. The reason is a religious dispute between the two communities over animal sacrifice.
The question is not about who is right or whose beliefs are wrong. It is about how some self-serving people manipulate others' beliefs and cause commotion for their own entertainment.
The whole City came to a stand-still and people were afraid to come out of their homes. These things would not have escalated if people would have been mindful of others' feelings and sentiments. Things turned nasty right in front of the pious Dargah.
This incident questioned our own beliefs and righteousness and proved to what extent we immortals are willing to go to assert our reliances .
